Web Pages are authored in HTML, XML or ASP using Notepad, Front Page, Visual Basic or Java scripting or any other Unicode aware authoring tool using Asiasoft™ Support for Windows 2000 and Asiatype™ Web Fonts. Pages are uploaded to the server with Asiatype Multilingual Server Support installed on.
Language data is automatically created on the fly as soon as it is needed in a page. Server Support is configured with alternate bind URL, which can be dynamically changed. The WebPages creates are 10-30% smaller then those created by Asiatype™ Web Support. It supports all Unicode 3.x languages (including Indic languages, each language fonts licensed separately). Server Support also reduces the size of the html pages by 30-300%. Another advantage of using the support is that it provides backward compatibility for CSS level 2 for legacy browsers.
Server Support works well with dynamic pages as well. For example, you may create a JSP or ASP page, which produces plain HTML code. The generated html code would be filtered through Server Support before reaching web browsers, at which point Pages would be dynamically created for the page. You would thus not need to figure which fonts and what subsets to use in advance for a dynamic page, as this is done automatically.
